Draft Resolution on Foreign Exchange Exogenous Information published

In a recent development, the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN) has just published the expected Draft Resolution establishing the new guidelines for reporting foreign exchange exogenous information. This document is essential for companies that carry out international operations.

Highlights of the Draft Resolution

The new draft introduces several updates to the formats and technical requirements that companies must follow for reporting foreign exchange information.

The key points are highlighted below:

  • Format update: Formats 1059, 1060, 1061, 1062, 1063, 1064, 1066, 1067 and 1070 have been reviewed and updated. These changes seek to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data reporting.
  • Technical requirements: The draft specifies the new technical characteristics for .XML files, ensuring more organized management in line with the standards required by the DIAN.
  • Comment period: Interested parties have until September 27, 2024 to submit their comments and suggestions. Comments must be sent to the email address subdir_control_cambiario@dian.gov.co.

We recommend that companies carrying out international operations thoroughly review the draft and adjust their reporting procedures to align with the new requirements.
